The console launched in Japan at the end of 2004, but sales have really picked up since the arrival of a new Monster Hunter game earlier this year. MH 2nd G has now sold nearly 2.5 million units.
Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII and Phantasy Star Portable have also helped push the PSP, but the top five includes three Monster Hunter games, suggesting the series has been hugely influential to the platform's success.
