Online photo printing coming to the Wii

Only in Japan at the moment though

Japanese Wii owners can now upload and print photos using their consoles thanks to a new service run by Fujifilm.

This brand spanking new feature allows console owners to transfer pictures via the Wii's memory card slot and then upload them to Fujifilm.

Once their pictures are online gamers have the choice of ordering individual prints or albums as well as being able to put their Mii’s on them and play around with templates based on the Super Mario series. All payments and delivery is handled by Fujifilm which does mean those lucky Japanese gamers will need a credit card rather than using Wii points but it still sounds like a good idea to us.

If you're feeling jealous then panic not, plans are afoot to expand the service worldwide although no launch dates are available at the moment.
