PS3 Bioshock to include trophies

Sounding pretty similar to the 360's achievements to us

The upcoming PS3 version of Bioshock is all set to include support for the new PS3 trophies according to producer Alyssa Finley. Ranging from bronze to platinum they are being designed to entice you into exploring Rapture.

Speaking on the US PlayStation blog, Finley said bronze rewards will be awarded for more basic things like researching and modifying weapons, hacking and crafting. Silver Trophies will be that little bit more exclusive, for example the historian award will be awarded when players find all the audio diaries scattered around the levels.

Not too unexpectedly the gold awards will be verging on the seriously tricky with one called "Brass Balls" requiring you to complete the game on hard with Vita-Chambers turned off.

As if that wasn't tough enough the super impressive BioShock Platinum Trophy will only be for those who can "take down a Big Daddy without shivering", which we're going to assume means without losing a scrap of health.

The PS3 version of Bioshock complete with all the trophy shaped goodness should be out in Europe this October.
