iPod title sighted from Square

Will use your player's music in 'battle'

Song Summoner: The Unsung Heroes is the name of a new Square Enix strategy-RPG being created for Apple's iPod.

Of course, the iPod is usually all about music, with a sprinkling of movies and games on the side, although in recent months companies have been increasingly eying games on the format, probably noting the vast userbase.

Song Summoner will star Ziggy on a mission to save his brother from the Mechanical Militia. The game will use the tracks stored on your iPod as Tune Troopers which you can then use in battle.

The game can be yours, via iTunes, for 4.99 Euro.

You'll need a Nano with Video, an iPod Classic, or a fifth generation iPod to enjoy. More soon.
