Xbox 360, meanwhile, surprises
Having briefly lead the Japanese hardware charts around the release of Metal Gear solid 4, the PlayStation 3 has once again slipped right back, according to last week's Japanese sales figures.
The PSP is once again the clear leader with nearly 59,000 sales, the DS some way off in second on nearly 49,000 sales.
A very very close third is the Wii with over 48,000 units shifted, while the PS3 is miles off the pace on less than 18,000 consoles sold.
The PS2 is chasing on over 7,000 sales, while the Xbox 360 had a surprisingly good week, notching-up over 5,000 sales. Life in the old dog yet?
i cant understand how you can say that the ps3 is way off the pace but then try to put a positive spin on the 360 selling less than a third of the units the the ps3 did?

to add on (ma2ew), to put a good spin on the 360 after stating that it sold 2000 less than th PS2, which is a "last-gen" counsel. That's not "life in the old dog." That's more like a last breath wheeze.

The Xbox360 sold 2,000 units last week. From 2,000 to 5,000 I say its a pretty good week.
