PlatinumGames coming from Sega

Three big name titles announced

A fairly hefty new publishing deal was confirmed by Sega this afternoon, the company letting us know that they've enlisted ex-Clover developers PlatinumGames on a multi-title deal.

PlatinumGames is the name of the new studio formed by several high-profile former Capcom game makers. Shinji Mikami, Hideki Kamiya and Atsushi Inaba are the men behind Resident Evil, Devil May Cry and Okami respectively.

New titles Bayonetta, Infinite Line and MadWorld were announced today, Inaba-san set to produce, while a fourth game is also being masterminded secretly by Mikami.

Devil May Cry-esque stylish action is promised of Bayonetta, in development for the PS3 and Xbox 360, and featuring 'witches and angels'. Then there's Infinite Line, an externally developed space-battler, where you'll take charge of a starship.

Lastly, MadWorld promises to be an ultra-violent action romp, with Sin City-like comic strip visuals, and devilishly gory finishing moves. It'll be delivered in sexy black and white for your delectation.

PlatinumGames is the new name for Seeds, in case you were wondering. That was the moniker of the start-up immediately following Clover's closure. Watch this space. No, this one.
