Beyond Good & Evil 2 sighted

Ubisoft sequel hinted

Rayman creator Michel Ancel, Ubisoft game designer extraordinaire, has confirmed that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is in pre-production, and has been for about year, although the publisher can't decide whether to go ahead with the sequel.

VG247.com cite JeuxVideo as confirming that 10 to 12 people are working on the project.

The original Beyond Good & Evil was critically acclaimed but sold far fewer copies than it deserved to. An adventure game mixing in elements from other genres around a cracking plot saw reviewers literally lapping-up Ancel's masterpiece.

Hopefully we'll have official word soon. At Ubidays this month, dare we hope?
