Pearce wanted 'Blizzard Activision'

'But you can't win every battle'

Speaking to UK games website Kikizo at Games Convention last month, Blizzard co-founder Frank Pearce has admitted that his firm wanted the merged company formed by Vivendi and Activision to be called 'Blizzard Activision'.

Apparently, the name that eventually emerged for the new company, Activision Blizzard, just wasn't to his liking... strangely.

"We actually requested that it be called Blizzard Activision," he quipped. adding that "you can’t win every battle."
